Rico’s Birthday
Thursday, November 16th, 2006Inkwaste Progress
Tuesday, November 14th, 2006I’m happy with the functionality of the site, not sure about the overall design, but we’re getting there. I’m working on importing all our old posts and that could take a while.
That’s it, I’m Suing Borat Too
Tuesday, November 14th, 2006I’m jumping on the bandwagon. The movie was hysterically funny, but for the love, it’s made over 50 million dollars! How can I sit idly by and watch Sacha Baron Cohen make a fortune when somehow I can try to figure out how to milk him for some cash? Let’s see…the people who were in the movie are suing because they think they were ridiculed.

There’s my angle! I sue for having been forced to watch and enjoy the movie! I was tricked into believing that I was going to see a real documentary, and I’ve suffered irreperable mental anguish since seeing it…now I need some money!
For reals, though, I forget…were those people forced to act the way they did onscreen?
Brand New Inkwaste
Monday, November 13th, 2006Hi guys,
I’m in the process of switching inkwaste over to a new blog system which offers many improvements – but everyone’s going to have to re-register and such. I’ll be making tweaks here and there all day, so expect the look of the site to change, but all the functionality should stay the same. Have fun!
Pictures From Hawaii
Sunday, November 5th, 2006Last week Danielle and I flew over to the island paradise of Hawaii where we celebrated Stephanie’s birthday, enjoyed the awesomeness of the Ritz Carlton and hit up Front Street for a Halloween festival. There was snorkeling, cliff diving, volcano biking and board gaming galore. I recommend that everyone takes the time to visit Stephanie and Matt while they are living on Maui, it’s an awesome trip.
Board games we played: Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Monopoly: Here and Now Edition, and Ticket to Ride. These games are all really fun to play, I highly recommend all of them.
Just so we’re clear on this, by the way, it’s not stealing if the cashiers don’t notice you took the Hawaiian shirt out of the store without paying. That’s their fault. Then again, being able to dress like Colin is priceless.
I Met the Mayor Today!
Sunday, November 5th, 2006BCox and I went to a Carlsbad street festival today to get some tasty fair food when we ran into the mayor of our fine city, Bud Lewis!

So…looking at this picture, he seems to be a grumpy old man. Turns out he’s been mayor for five terms, and is now running for his sixth and final. Here’s some info about him and his opponents from SignOnSanDiego:
“Carlsbad’s Claude ‘Bud’ Lewis is running for his sixth term as mayor. His opponents have run for political office before but have never been elected. William D. Griffith is a Carlsbad High School math teacher and former congressional candidate. Glenn Bernard, a former mayoral candidate, is a real estate broker and inventor of a game called soccer-golf.”
Soccer-golf? Isn’t that called field hockey?
